Since the dark night of times, native people have enacted and told their creation myths and, by doing so, they have inserted us into a great motion – myths remind us that we are participants, keepers and co-creators of existence.

 

We invite you to experience myths through the senses. In a poetical and political gesture of otherness, we open up to a rich repertoire of images, knowledge and cosmovisions. By listening and enjoying narratives from many Brazilian indigenous people and from other traditions, we invite you to broaden your imagination, cultivate diversity and strangeness as a fertile exercise.

 

Today, there are more than 250 indigenous people in Brazil, Their languages, cultures and sources of knowledge are still unknown. This meeting was born also from the desire to honor, to learn from and to be infused by these people.
